Become a User Tester
A user tester is someone that is paid to provide feedback to a website owner of how well a website works. You may also provide feedback on the website's layout or contents.
How does it work?
A website owner pays for a website usability review of the "user tester" speaking their thoughts while browsing the site being tested. The website owner gets to watch a real person use their site so they can see where their site may need improvements. If you become a tester, you have an opportunity to earn money online simply by using a website. You get paid $10 per review for about 20-25 minutes worth of effort. It's how to make easy money in a short period of time.
How Do I Start?
To apply, go to UserTesting.com and fill out an online application. You'll need to provide your demographic information, gender, date of birth as well as your overall computer expertise. You'll then view a sample video so you have a good understanding what is required of you when you are selected.
What are the requirements?
- Have your own PC or Mac with a broadband Internet connection. You can record your voice using a microphone or over the telephone.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Fill out the application.
- Use their browser based screen recorder to record your screen and comments as you browse the sample website.
- There is no software to install. You need to have the latest version of java to be able to run their browser-based recorder software.
How am I selected?
You're selected for opportunities based on your demographic profile. The demographic profile would need to match the profile of the intended audience of the website you are testing. (If you are 47, you won't be testing a website for singles ages 20-25).
UserTesting.com currently has an over abundance of testers because it's one of the higher-paying opportunities for those of us looking to earn money at home. That's not to say you won't be selected but don't count on being a user tester as a way to earn massive income or get rich quick. Being a website tester is a way to start making money online from home in a short period of time. You're making money online from home, can't beat it.
